New Years 2026

Dec 28, 2025    Michael Brown

As we step into the new year, 2026, we are faced with a fresh opportunity to walk in the fullness of God's blessing, but also the responsibility to align ourselves with His will. In this sermon, we will reflect on the blessings and curses set before us, as we are reminded from Deuteronomy 11:26-28 that obedience to God's Word brings blessing, while disobedience invites discipline. This principle remains true for all believers today.

The new year also marks a time when we must consider God's discipline—an aspect of His love that often challenges us but ultimately leads to our growth. Hebrews 12:6-8 and Proverbs 3:11-12 teach us that God's correction is not something to fear but to embrace, for He disciplines those He loves. Just as a father disciplines his son, so too does God discipline us to refine us and guide us into righteousness.

Deuteronomy 10:12 calls us to fear the Lord, walk in His ways, love Him, and serve Him with all our heart and soul. This command is not just a call to obedience but an invitation to an intimate relationship with God. As we enter 2026, may we recommit ourselves to these principles, knowing that in every blessing, every trial, and every correction, God is working for our good.
